Freedom and Voluntary Participation

Voluntary participation is the framework's primary safeguard against its own failure modes. It is what converts an institution's claim of usefulness into a testable proposition: if the institution stops producing value, participants leave, and the failure becomes visible.

Requirements

• Participation must be opt-in, with disclosed terms.
• Exit must be possible on stated conditions, without retroactive penalty.
• Independent businesses that accept no institutional capital or resources are outside every institutional agreement.
• No claim may be made on independently created private wealth.
• Refusal to participate must not affect civil standing, legal rights, or access to constitutional government functions.
