Intelligent Value Scores

The Intelligent Value Score (IVS) maps value efficiency onto a bounded scale so transactions can be compared without implying precision the underlying estimates do not have.

$$IVS = \frac{100}{1 + e^{-k(\eta - \eta_0)}}$$

where $\eta$ is value efficiency, $\eta_0$ the reference efficiency, and $k$ the steepness.

Hard safeguards

• The IVS scores transactions, never people.
• It must never be used as a social score, a credit gate, or an eligibility test for rights.
• It must never be published in a way that permits re-identification of individuals.
