Model Limitations
What every model in this book cannot do.
Accepted: Reviewed and adopted for the current release.
Applies to every model in the specification and every calculator on this site:
- Model results are not predictions and must never be presented as guaranteed outcomes.
- Inputs at alpha stage are largely estimated, not measured.
- Compounding models are extremely sensitive to success-rate assumptions.
- No model here has completed independent review.
- Distributional effects are largely unmodelled.
- Behavioural response to the incentives being modelled is not endogenised.
Any published output must carry the framework version, the assumption set, and this notice.
